As long as she can remember Melodie identified herself as a dancer. Having a creative outlet was always important and freeing. In college Melodie found herself immersed in the theatre community and discovered that acting is where she learned to take risks. Through her work as an actor, movement director, and dancer, Melodie has learned that she loves working is spaces with a strong sense of community, collaboration, and passion. Melodie states, “these spaces have made me realize that learning and growing are really important to me and give me a sense of purpose; and learning requires us to take risks and fail…. a lot. I was always afraid of failing until I started acting. I learned that you can’t discover what works until you’ve found what doesn’t work first. I hope to always create an environment where people feel welcome to take risks and fall on their face a few times, so then we can create something meaningful”
